HOME - About APRSC 2010Radio spectrum is one of the scarcest natural resources. Both the public and the private sectors have shown an increasing concern about the use of spectrum. It is the local authority's responsibility to ensure the right allocation of the frequency to satisfy different users. The emergence of digital broadcast and digital communication technologies brings new impact and call for revamping the spectrum policy.
In April 2009, IETHK lined up the authority and major industry players to deliver the
Spectrum Management and Policy Symposium 2009 . The Symposium was enormously
received by the public and those who concern the spectrum utilization. With a highly
positive feedback, the organizing committee members reconvene again for the Asia
Pacific Radio Spectrum Conference 2010 to be held in Hong Kong from April 8 to 9,
2010. Welcome Messages from the Chairmen |

the spectrum management of radio communication segment. The Steering Committee has been committed to facilitating exchanges by creating a platform that stimulates discussion on a broad array of focal areas covering the public, commercial, and regulation aspects. Among the various subjects on the spectrum use, perhaps two most critical concerns lately are environmental impacts and security measures. As you go through the Program section in this web site, you would find that we have invited management executives in the civil service, utility, and transportation sectors to share their experience in and solutions to environmental, safety, and security issues. Such opportunity is rare. New technologies cultivate new applications that change the way we communicate. At the same time, government policies and regulations have a significant influence to the landscape of commercial services that are available to the public. On day two of the conference, key industry participants and regulators around the world will reveal their latest development and their perspectives on current and future industry opportunity. Aside from the technical presentations and keynote speeches, the biggest benefit is the networking opportunity that will allow you to meet the industry leaders face to face. By attending, you will be synchronized and be part of the ever evolving Spectrum industry. The Steering Committee and I look forward to seeing you in the conference.
Best Regards, |

This is also a place where significant spectrum users can share their experience and express their interest. On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to report that all team members have fully devoted the efforts to make sure this conference is informative, enjoyable, and memorable so that you will bring home with valuable information for building your spectrum strategy. If you are interested in obtaining the forward direction of the spectrum use and learning the latest development among the industry players, this is a place where you want to be.
